La construction de la centrale \u00e9lectrique a \u00e9t\u00e9 divis\u00e9e en deux phases. La premi\u00e8re phase a \u00e9t\u00e9 achev\u00e9e en 2007 avec un investissement de 160 millions de dollars US et une capacit\u00e9 de production annuelle de 335 MW. La deuxi\u00e8me phase du projet a investi 450 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains, achev\u00e9e en mars 2014, avec une capacit\u00e9 de production annuelle de 750 m\u00e9gawatts, et a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite par Shandong Electric Construction Company III sous forme d&#039;EPC cl\u00e9 en main.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon l&#039;introduction, la centrale \u00e9lectrique au gaz est l&#039;un des projets de privatisation de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 au Nigeria, et la capacit\u00e9 de production d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 des deux phases de la centrale \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 un sixi\u00e8me de la capacit\u00e9 nationale de production d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La mise en service de la centrale \u00e9lectrique \u00e0 cycle combin\u00e9 d&#039;Ogun a consid\u00e9rablement att\u00e9nu\u00e9 la tension de l&#039;approvisionnement \u00e9lectrique au Nigeria, et il a exprim\u00e9 sa gratitude \u00e0 tout le personnel de la Shandong Electricity Construction Company III qui a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la construction et \u00e0 l&#039;exploitation de la centrale \u00e9lectrique.
